Making change happen
in a changing world
We know that the philanthropic landscape is changing all the time - emergent technologies, greater donor engagement and expectations, retention and motivation of staff - all while your team is expected to continually raise more with less.
But we’ve also learned it can be hard to adapt to these changes and reach your goals without leaving your comfort zone. As the saying goes, when you do things the way they have always been done, you tend to get the same results you’ve always gotten.
Your Challenging Champions
At Cairney & Company, we support organisations and people to shake themselves out of the status quo. We like to think of ourselves as your Challenging Champions.
By providing a healthy dose of questioning and debate, we help you to see your strengths in a new light and imagine all the possibilities for success.
New ideas and solutions often hide in unexpected places. So we bring fresh thinking from outside the sector and around the world to inspire your team and help you stay ahead of the curve.
It takes vision and guts to bring an idea to life. We help you to take a step back and see the bigger picture, and give your team the confidence and skills they need to take that big leap forward, as you forge a path towards achieving your goals.
How we give back
At the heart of Cairney & Company is a philosophy of supporting our communities by helping to make change happen. Our staff and partners give back in their own individual way, whether volunteering their time on boards or actively giving to the charities of their choice.
AS A COMPANY, WE HAVE CHOSEN THE FOLLOWING WAYS TO GIVE BACK:
Every year we donate a percentage of pre-tax profits, agreed with the shareholders, to nominated charities. We will share these commitments and their impact on the website. Last year Cairney & Company supported MND Scotland and Alzheimer Scotland, donated to Movember and the Trussell Trust, and donated (annually) to St Stephen’s and St Kevin’s Primary Schools (West of Scotland).
We donate our time, equivalent to 1% of pre-tax profits, to charities selected each year by the shareholders. In the past, we have worked with Capital Theatres in Edinburgh with campaign planning expertise and Freedom from Fistula Foundation. In addition, a number of sector executives received one-to-one coaching from Cairney Partners.
